Dear UMC in Wayne,
Parish Drive will be joining us this Sunday as we celebrate the Transfiguration! What is the Transfiguration? The Transfiguration is a mountaintop experience which brings to a climactic close the season of Epiphany, with its theme of Jesus as light of the world. This story points us toward the cross and prepares us to enter the season of Lent with hope and not foreboding.
After worship we have several gatherings:
– The Jubilation Ringers are practicing in the Sanctuary. – The Olive Tree Book Club is meeting to discuss January & February books. – A lunch of soup, salad, and bread will be served at 12pm as we learn about our “Garden of Eatin'” ministry!
*And – here is a valentine message from God – ” You are my beloved, My delight! Will you be mine?”*
