“I will believe it when I see it!” A popular phrase used by many, maybe even yourself from time to time.
After Jesus was crucified, he came down from Heaven and appeared to a select group, His disciples. One of them, Thomas, was not present and failed to believe without actually seeing Jesus. A week later, Jesus appeared again to the group and Thomas was present this time. He showed him the “proof” that he needed to believe. But Jesus made sure to note that those who were truly blessed, were those who had faith, and believed without needing the verification of sight.
Our faith is a mysterious thing. Some days it may be strong and some days it may waiver. But Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us, whether or not you feel His presence. He is always sovereign.
