Greetings! October begins on Sunday and we definitely have an exciting week ahead!
*On Sunday October 1st *we will be learning about Saint Francis, Blessing our pets and celebrating Holy Communion. If your pet loves to worship you are welcome to bring them to our* 10am worship service*. Pictures of your pets and favorite stuffed animals are welcome and will be placed on the Altar for blessing. The blessing will take place during our children’s “Basket” time. If your pet does not like to worship please *join us outside the Narthex doors near the circle at 11:30am* for the blessing. Invite your friends and their beloved pets!
*First Friday at Wayne UMC gathers at 12pm on Friday October 6th in fellowship hall.* Please bring your own lunch. This month we are celebrating our heritage. Bring a story or an object that describes your family background.
*Our Creative Care Ministry is going on a Sabbath Walk in North Cove Park on Saturday October 7th @ 8:30am.* We will begin our time together with a shared prayer and then half way through the walk we will listen to a poem. Sabbath walks are a way of slowing down, being with each other, and restoring our soul through prayer and poetic wisdom. Our Sunday worship service begins at 10am. Sunday School begins after “The Basket” during our Worship service and lasts until fellowship time when our service moves to fellowship hall for conversation and snacks.
